Current

In one day, I upgraded Windows 10 to version 1703 (not yet RTM until a few more days later) on my desktop (via insider slow ring), canvassed for a laptop (for mhae and me), and bought that laptop—a 15” Asus Vivobook with a 7th Gen Core i3 and entry level Radeon Graphics. Interestingly, I never thought I’d buy an i3 and a 15-inch laptop. Papa’s netbook is still unuseable and I have yet to cleanup mhae’s netbook. My convertible is running a little less than ok when not using the dock. Getting a new laptop with mhae feels really good—especially if it’s a really good deal.

Before getting the laptop, I’ve transferred my current tv shows to my desktop and have started my catcup with the DC shows. Still quite a lot to go, though. I’ve been quite consistent with Iron-Blooded Orphans (which is getting heavy, nearing its conclusion) and The Big Bang Theory (which is still ok, I guess, but I really wish the series would end this season).

By this coming month, or in May, I think it would be about time I get myself a major desktop upgrade with a Ryzen 5. CPU releases haven’t been this good for so long. With that upgrade planned, and definitely happening, I’m wondering when my Z1 compact will have a worthy upgrade. Hopefully before the year ends.

Smartphone launches are pretty nice this month starting with the less popular but astounding LG G6 (although I think it was introduced in the last week of last month, I just didn’t notice) and ending with the immensly popular Samsung Galaxy S8 and 8+. The Koreans are delivering.

On the “collector” side of my life, with 2 out of 4 shelves in place, I found myself revising my plan. Wow, I also remember how difficult it was to get the MG Strike variations displayed; and the quick acceptance that Mio’s attachment to her base was really fragile. I’m also set to getting the Megatron G1 and DOTM duo since the Generations versions of “Team Ultra Magnus” only has Kup and Blur left available. I guess the plan for me to decide which to get worked.
